The Disaster Management Action Plan has been prepared to ensure effective preparedness, response, rescue, relief and rehabilitation during natural and man-made disasters. The primary objective is to safeguard human life, public property and essential services.

To minimize disaster risks through preparedness, awareness, coordination and timely response.
🌊 Flood
Identify vulnerable areas, establish relief camps, and evacuate people to safer locations.
🔥 Fire Safety
Inform the Fire & Rescue Department immediately, disconnect electricity and evacuate the building safely.
⚡ Lightning
Stay indoors, avoid trees and open spaces, and disconnect electrical appliances.
🌪 Cyclone
Follow official weather alerts, secure important documents, and remain in safe shelters.
🚑 Emergency Services
Coordinate with Police, Fire Force, Health Department, Revenue Department and Local Self Government Institutions.
Before Disaster
- Create public awareness programmes.
- Conduct mock drills and emergency preparedness training.
- Prepare emergency kits and first aid materials.
- Identify relief camps and evacuation routes.
- Establish Disaster Management Committees.
During Disaster
- Remain calm and follow official instructions.
- Move to designated safe shelters.
